Run Manatee Race Series – Couquina Beach 5k

The RUN Manatee 5k series offers THREE adventures to celebrate ONE community. Participants will discover Manatee County’s parks, beaches and preserves… on the run! The second event of the series will be held on Saturday, July 11th at Coquina Beach in Bradenton Beach, FL. The 5K run/walk presented by RWP Runs includes a scenic route along Coquina Beach asphalt trail under the trees with a gulf breeze. *New this year: Splash Zones to keep cool along the route!
Warm up will be provided by Ray Gardner of Prosper Bradenton and yoga cooldown provided by a local yoga studio at dusk. Participants of all age and activity levels are welcome to this day of fitness, food and family fun! Grab a healthy snack/dinner, shop local vendors in the marketplace or stay to enjoy a beverage during sunset.. there’s plenty to do even if you’re not running!
ROAR FLORIDA 5k Color Run

The ROAR FLORIDA 5K is a chip-timed road race held at the Sun ‘n Fun Expo Campus at Lakeland Linder International Airport in Lakeland, Florida.
This course offers a unique race environment, taking runners through the active grounds of one of the largest aviation expos in the United States. Participants will run through the heart of the Sun ‘n Fun campus, surrounded by aircraft displays, aviation infrastructure, and open runway and tarmac sections.
This is also a color run, so come ready to stand out. Wear your most colorful outfit, get creative, and expect bursts of color along the course. Whether you’re racing for time or running for the experience, this is your chance to bring the energy and make the course as vibrant as the mission behind it.
The course is flat and fast, making it suitable for competitive runners seeking a strong 5K time, while remaining accessible for walkers and recreational participants.
Proceeds from this event support ROAR FLORIDA and its mission to provide inclusive living and community opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This scenic route winds through stunning shoreline trails with unforgettable views of Tampa Bay, the iconic Sunshine Skyway Bridge, and even glimpses toward Egmont Key on a clear day. Along the way, keep your eyes open for Florida wildlife—spoonbills, osprey, and other native birds soar overhead, and if you’re lucky, you may spot a gopher tortoise tucked along the trail.

Run Manatee Series – Rye Preserve 5k

RUN Manatee 5k series offers THREE adventures to celebrate ONE community. Participants will discover Manatee County’s parks, beaches and preserves… on the run! The final event of the series will be held on Saturday, November 21st at Rye Preserve in Parrish, FL. The 5K run/walk presented by Run with Purpose Nutrition will allow runners to explore this beautiful slice of old Florida on mixed terrain. The preserve’s trail system leads visitors through four distinctive ecosystems, including sand pine scrub, xeric oak scrub, oak hammocks and the river community. Look closely for a glimpse of the variety of interesting creatures that can be seen in these areas including the rare gopher tortoise and Florida scrub-jay.
Warm up will be provided by a local fitness trainer, and yoga cooldown by a local yoga instructor. Participants of all age and activity levels are welcome to this day of fitness, food and family fun! Grab a healthy breakfast/lunch or shop local vendors in the marketplace.. there’s plenty to do even if you’re not running!
